That's right, we're 3 for 3 for zip, zero, nada Trick-or-Treaters 3 years in a row. Next year I won't even buy any candy & leave the porch light off. Bah humbug!! Bummer!!!
Now I can start agonizing over Christmas. What shall I get everybody. I think they'd be happiest with gift cards so they can pick out their own & get what they want. But that just doesn't seem like much fun and my 6 year old grandson would be disappointed without anything to play with on Christmas Day. There will at least have to be something small in their gift bags to go with the gift cards if I go that route.
It's just all too stressful.....I think I'll go take a nap. :-)
I gave up on trick or treaters years ago ... parents just don't take kids to homes where they don't know ya ... on my street all the "kids" have grown up. So don't be upset, next year just skip buying candy, save that money for Christmas!!--Julia, NE
ReplyDeletethe most I ever had was 14, including the relatives!
ReplyDeleteA friend of mine saw a lemo taking kids trick or treating door to door through one neighborhood.... don't know what to think about that.
ReplyDeleteI haven't had any trick or treaters at my door since our zoo started having a big party there a few years ago.
I think with all the rules about safety, it isn't fun anymore. Plus, there are more efficient ways of getting candy, and we are all about efficiency nowadays. I probably got about 10 kids. No problem, more candy left for me. :)
